Did you know disposable nappies are a big problem in our Pacific Islands?
anuatu started banning single use plastic in 2018!
Due to the small amount of land available on islands, landfill and pollution is a real problem in the Pacific Islands and they take looking for solutions seriously.
Vanuatu is one of the leading countries in the pacific because they know the impacts pollution has on their small island, the ecosystem and the climate. They have also been planning to ban disposable nappies next but have been working around finding ways to provide their families with sustainable and easier ways to do laundry other then by hand.
These small islands are the first to feel the effects and changes of the world’s collective pollution. And they’re doing something about it.
We all can do something about it, especially if we want to preserve the beauty of our Pacific Islands. Reusable nappies are more than a cute aesthetic. They are a little solution to a very big problem.
