Rebates for Reusable Goodies?!

Rebates for Reusable Goodies?!

Yes you read that right.

Many of the local councils in Australia are working on lowering our landfill wastage. In Blacktown alone at least 9% of our wastage it is made up from disposable nappies and this council is one of many who are trialing rebates in order to encourage and support sustainable solutions.

In Blacktown you can get one rebate per household of up to 50% (check your council to see what they're offering) on cloth nappies, reusable swim nappies, reusable liners and period pads and even nursing breast pads. Be sure to read the fine print because there is a minimum on spending for some councils and even a time limit on when you need to have brought them (some will say you need to have purchased within the last 3 months $200 worth of reusables)

Below are some links to a list already compiled and the link to Blacktown city council. If you can't find your city in the list be sure to google or reach out to your council and ask if they offer a cloth nappy rebate program.
